Présentation des alliages d'aluminium

L’aluminium est la troisième ressource naturelle de la planète. Il est beaucoup utilisé dans de nombreuses industries en raison de la facilité avec laquelle il peut être usiné et formé. Il nécessite un faible apport d’énergie, qui le rend économique et idéalement adapté aux travaux d’extrusion, au broyage, au fraisage, à la coupe, au poinçonnage et au pliage, quelle que soit la quantité.

 

Couramment utilisés dans l’industrie de la construction, l’aluminium et ses alliages possèdent des propriétés physiques qui le rendent incontournable dans les secteurs de l’aérospatiale, de l’automobile et des transports.   L’aluminium présente également d’autres avantages environnementaux (toxicité nulle et facilité de recyclage), sans perdre ses propriétés.  Son faible coût, la disponibilité des matériaux, ses propriétés physiques et sa bonne formabilité en font le choix idéal pour la production en grands volumes de conditionnements pour boissons, mais il possède de nombreuses applications dans le secteur de la restauration.

 

L’aluminium est un métal léger, mou et conducteur, non magnétique et résistant à la corrosion.  Trois fois moins dense que l’acier, il reste aussi résistant.   Il est aussi plus résistant à des températures moindres et contrairement aux aciers, il n’est pas friable, mais au contraire plus résistant à basses températures. Toutefois, une chaleur supérieure à 100°C peut affecter sa résistance.

 

Grâce à un large éventail de finitions de surfaces (des plus mattes aux plus réfléchissantes), l’aluminium est idéal pour la fabrication de décorations et de produits métalliques.
